The Golden Compass and its Broken Arrow

I now feel morally obligated to support Nicole Kidman’s new movie, “The Golden Compass,” following the smear campaign that’s been launched against it by the Catholic church.

Apparently the film is based on a book by atheist Philip Pullman in which the force of “evil” in the story is actually the church. Pullman creatively turns traditional stereotypes about good and evil on their head, and now everyone’s bent out of shape about it (including, of course, Fox News).
